Madurai Gold Granite

Madurai Gold Granite is a warm, classic Indian granite distinguished by its rich gold base flecked with darker mineral inclusions in burgundy and brown. The palette is traditional and timeless — closely related to Kashmir Gold but with its own distinctive character coming from the specific Madurai quarry geology.

Origin & What Makes It Unique

Quarried in Madurai, southern India, Madurai Gold belongs to the family of warm gold-toned granites that have made the region one of the world’s most reliable sources of decorative stone. The colour balance — lighter than Kashmir Gold, with a more even mineral distribution — gives Madurai Gold its own niche in the global market.

Applications of Madurai Gold Granite

Madurai Gold is specified for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls in residential interiors with warm palettes. In commercial work it appears in lobby flooring, reception desks, and bar tops. Its weather resistance also supports exterior cladding and paving.

Available Finishes

We supply Madurai Gold Granite in polished, honed, leathered, flamed, and brushed finishes. Polished maximises the gold lustre. Honed produces a softer matte reading. Leathered and brushed add tactile texture. Flamed is available for slip-resistant exterior installations.

Available as raw blocks for slab production and as finished slabs in standard thicknesses of 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm. Custom thicknesses available on request. Slab sizes typically range from 260 x 160 cm upward.
