Bala Flower Granite is a distinctive, characterful granite from South India whose white base is animated by the characteristic floral mineral formations that give it its name — dark, star-like mineral clusters scattered across the white surface like flowers blooming across a pale ground, creating a pattern of unusual natural beauty.
Quarried in South India, Bala Flower belongs to the celebrated family of South Indian white granites and takes its name from the distinctive dark mineral formations distributed across its surface. These clustered formations are produced by dark hornblende and biotite minerals that crystallised in floral, radiating patterns within the white igneous matrix — giving the stone a decorative quality that many plain white granites completely lack.
