L. Yellow Sandstone — sourced from the Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh — pairs the geological heritage of the Lalitpur quarry belt with a warm, golden-yellow palette that brings life and brightness to architectural and landscape applications. It sits between the desert yellows of Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer stone and the cooler neutrals of Lalitpur Grey, occupying a warm, sunlit middle ground that architects and landscape designers have found consistently useful.
Stone Harbor processes and exports Lalitpur Yellow to the same quality standards as our full sandstone range. Its frost resistance, durability, and attractive warm tone make it a practical and versatile export stone for temperate and warm climates alike.
L. Yellow Sandstone (Lalitpur Yellow) is a sedimentary stone from the Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Its warm yellow colouration results from iron oxide minerals within the quartz matrix — similar in principle to Jaisalmer Yellow, but with the distinctive character of the Lalitpur formation. Fine to medium grain with good structural integrity.
