Jodhpur Pink Sandstone — known commercially as J. Pink Sandstone — is the softer, more feminine counterpart to J. Red in the Jodhpur sandstone family. Its palette ranges from pale blush and rose pink to deeper dusty pinks, with the characteristic fine grain and smooth workability that makes all Jodhpur sandstones so adaptable. Where J. Red commands attention through boldness, J. Pink creates warmth and sophistication without overpowering a space.

Origin and Composition

J. Pink Sandstone is a sedimentary stone from the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, India. Its pink colouration — from pale rose to deeper dusty pink — comes from lower concentrations of iron oxide compared to the deep red of J. Red Sandstone. The same fine grain structure and silica-calcium carbonate cementation provide excellent workability and structural durability. Jodhpur Pink is frost-resistant and performs well in outdoor conditions across temperate climates.
