Blue Silk Granite is an Indian granite distinguished by cool blue tones flowing across a silver-grey base in soft, directional patterns that read almost like brushstrokes — hence the “silk” in the name. The movement is gentle rather than dramatic, which gives the stone an architectural calmness despite its strong color identity.
Blue Silk is quarried in southern India. The blue tone is unusual among Indian granites, which more commonly produce greys, browns, blacks and reds. The directional flow pattern across the slab is what differentiates it from speckled or random-pattern blue granites elsewhere in the catalog — you can read movement and grain across the surface, which makes it visually engaging without becoming busy.
Used for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and bookmatched feature walls in residential interiors where cool tones are wanted. Suits modern hospitality and commercial fit-outs particularly well — the directional pattern gives it presence in lobby and reception applications. Performs across both interior and exterior installations.
We supply Blue Silk Granite in polished, honed, leathered, flamed, and brushed finishes. Polished maximizes the blue tone and reflectivity. Honed produces a softer matte reading. Leather adds tactile texture while preserving the directional pattern.
Available as raw blocks for slab production and as finished slabs in standard thicknesses of 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm. Custom thicknesses available on request. Slab sizes typically range from 260 x 160 cm upward.
