Why Stone Harbor
The slabs are in our own factory yard at RIICO Phase VI, Madanganj, so the lot you approve is the lot that ships.
Walk the yard and mark the slabs you want, or approve lot photos and a video call on WhatsApp if you can't travel.
Every order is billed with a GST invoice and delivered anywhere in India. Freight is quoted separately for your city.
Import papers are available for every lot on request, so you know where your marble came from.
Compare
We sell both, so here is the honest version. Italian marble is chosen for its look: bright white bases and bold or soft veining that Indian quarries don't produce. Indian marble from Makrana, Banswara and Udaipur is often the better buy when budget, hardness or a large plain floor matters more than the veining.
Italian marble
Indian marble
Look
Bright white, ivory or beige bases with dramatic or fine veining; high-gloss polish
Whites, greys, greens and pinks; more even patterns, fewer bold veins
Hardness
Softer, more porous whites (Statuario, Carrara) that etch with acids
Dense varieties such as Makrana are harder wearing and less porous
Maintenance
Seal after laying and re-polish over the years; wipe acids quickly
Same basic care; denser stones show wear more slowly
Price band
Higher: from ₹220/sq ft at our yard (Botticino) up to premium Statuario and Calacatta
Generally lower than Italian for a similar area

Applications
Living rooms, lobbies and bedrooms are where most Italian marble goes. Botticino and Carrara suit everyday floors; Statuario and Calacatta make a statement.
Book-matched slabs behind a TV unit, a bed or a reception desk show off the veining at full size.
Marble etches with lemon juice, vinegar and other acids, so seal kitchen tops and wipe spills quickly. Darker or busier stones hide marks best.
Vanity tops, walls and floors. Choose a honed or well-sealed surface for wet floors.
Treads and risers cut from one lot keep the colour consistent from floor to floor.

Questions
At our Kishangarh yard, Italian marble starts at ₹220/sq ft for Botticino. Carrara and Michelangelo start at ₹500, Statuario at ₹700 and Calacatta at ₹800; premium grades are priced on request. Prices are ex-yard Kishangarh, plus GST. Freight is quoted separately.
Ask for the import papers for the exact lot you are buying; we have them for every lot on request. Then look at the whole lot, not one tile: natural veining changes from slab to slab, while printed or engineered copies repeat the same pattern.
Botticino is the most practical: its warm beige hides dust and it is our most affordable Italian stone. Carrara suits everyday white floors, while Statuario and Calacatta are best kept for living rooms and lobbies where the veining is the point.
Most floors are laid in 16–18 mm slabs; 18–20 mm is used for larger slabs and where extra strength is wanted. The thicker the slab, the higher the rate per sq ft.
