Alaska Green Granite

Alaska Green Granite is a coolly sophisticated Indian granite distinguished by its silvery-grey base animated by dramatic, flowing dendritic veining in deep charcoal and jet black. The movement across its surface reads almost like brushwork — fluid, directional, and unmistakably natural. Quarried in Rajasthan, it belongs to the broader Alaska family of exotic granites that have become a signature category in our catalog, each variant defined by the specific mineral story its slab happens to tell.

Origin & What Makes It Unique

Alaska Green is extracted from dedicated quarry blocks in Rajasthan, India. Its character comes from high concentrations of dark mica and amphibole minerals threading through a felsic base, producing veining that flows diagonally across the surface rather than appearing static or speckled. Each slab is genuinely one-of-a-kind — the vein density, directional sweep, and proportion of silver to black shifts block to block, which is exactly why architects and designers specify it for statement installations where no two surfaces should look identical.

Applications

Alaska Green performs across both interior and exterior applications. It is a dependable choice for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and feature walls where its movement can be showcased as a focal point. In larger format, it works beautifully as a full-slab backsplash, a fireplace surround, or as an accent wall in hospitality and commercial interiors. For exteriors, its dense granite structure handles cladding, paving, and landscape installations in both hot and cold climates without degradation.

Available Finishes

We supply Alaska Green in polished, honed, leathered, flamed, and brushed finishes. The polished finish intensifies contrast between the silver base and black veining for maximum drama. The honed finish tones down reflectivity for a more contemporary, matte reading. Leathered and brushed finishes add tactile texture while retaining the mineral pattern. Flamed is available for exterior applications requiring slip resistance.

Formats & Thickness

Available as raw blocks for slab production and as finished slabs in standard thicknesses of 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm. Custom thicknesses available on request. Slab sizes typically range from 260 x 160 cm upward, with gang-saw cut options for consistent batch-matching across larger projects. Cut-to-size tiles, countertops, and bespoke formats are produced to project specification.
