Galaxy Red Granite is a dramatic Indian granite distinguished by its deep red base scattered with metallic mineral flecks that catch and scatter light like stars across a night sky. The combination of saturated red ground and bright crystalline flash creates one of the most visually arresting granite surfaces in the catalogue.
Quarried in southern India, Galaxy Red owes its character to a deep red feldspar-rich granite base seeded with mica and quartz crystals that produce the signature galaxy effect. Each slab’s flash density and pattern is genuinely unique — the size and distribution of the metallic flecks vary block to block.
Galaxy Red is specified for kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities where its drama becomes a focal feature, fireplace surrounds and bookmatched feature walls, and bar tops and reception desks in hospitality interiors. Its hardness and weather resistance also support facade cladding and exterior paving.
We supply Galaxy Red Granite in polished, honed, leathered, flamed, and brushed finishes. Polished maximises the metallic galaxy flash. Honed produces a deeper, softer red reading. Leathered and brushed add tactile texture. Flamed is available for slip-resistant exterior installations.
Available as raw blocks for slab production and as finished slabs in standard thicknesses of 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm. Custom thicknesses available on request. Slab sizes typically range from 260 x 160 cm upward.
