Tiger Black Granite is a dramatic Indian granite distinguished by its deep black base animated by bold lighter mineral streaks and veining. The pattern reads as dynamic and unmistakable — reminiscent of tiger markings inverted to black-on-light — making it one of the more striking black granites for statement installations.
Quarried in southern India, Tiger Black owes its character to natural mineral formations producing bold lighter veining against the saturated black ground. Each slab’s vein pattern is genuinely unique — the size, density, and direction of the streaks vary block to block, making this a stone for clients valuing individuality.
Tiger Black is specified for kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities where its drama becomes a focal feature, fireplace surrounds and bookmatched feature walls in luxury interiors, and bar tops and reception desks in hospitality and commercial projects. Its hardness and weather resistance also support facade cladding and exterior applications.
We supply Tiger Black Granite in polished, honed, leathered, flamed, and brushed finishes. Polished maximises the contrast between black ground and lighter veining. Honed produces a softer matte reading. Leathered and brushed add tactile texture. Flamed is available for slip-resistant exterior installations.
Available as raw blocks for slab production and as finished slabs in standard thicknesses of 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, and 30mm. Custom thicknesses available on request. Slab sizes typically range from 260 x 160 cm upward.
