Two Tone Sandstone is exactly what its name describes — and in its straightforwardness lies its design value. Rather than the unpredictable multi-tonal variation of stones like Rainbow or Raveena, Two Tone presents a clear, bold contrast between two distinct colour registers within the same stone: typically a combination of warm and cool tones, or light and dark tones, that creates a naturally striped or banded visual effect across each slab.
This inherent contrast makes Two Tone a highly effective material for installations where visual rhythm and pattern are design goals — without requiring the complexity of combining multiple stone types. A single material delivers a layered visual result. Quarried in Rajasthan and processed by Stone Harbor for export, it is one of the most decoratively distinctive options in our sandstone range.
Two Tone Sandstone is a sedimentary stone from Rajasthan, India. Its two-colour banding results from alternating mineral layers deposited during the stone’s geological formation — different iron oxide and mineral concentrations producing contrasting tones across the stone’s depth. The quartz-dominant matrix provides structural integrity and weather resistance.
Contact Stone Harbor for export enquiries and project specifications. We recommend requesting slab photographs given the natural colour variation between batches.
