Origin & Composition
Pangia Green Quartzite is a metamorphic stone quarried from Rajasthan, India. The stone’s deep green colouration results from chlorite, serpentine, and epidote minerals embedded in the quartz matrix during the metamorphic transformation of the original sandstone. The characteristic veining patterns are produced by secondary mineral movement through the stone’s fracture networks under sustained geological pressure. As with all quartzites, the primary structural component is recrystallised quartz at high purity, which gives the stone its hardness significantly exceeding that of any green marble variety.
