Autumn Brown Sandstone

Autumn Brown Sandstone captures the colour of the season that gives it its name: warm, layered tones of brown, rust, honey, and amber that shift across the stone’s surface in the way light moves through autumn foliage. It is a stone with natural warmth and character, quarried in Rajasthan and exported by Stone Harbor to projects across Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Where many brown and earth-toned sandstones tend towards flat, uniform colour, Autumn Brown brings depth through its natural tonal movement. The surface reads differently in morning light than it does at midday, and differently again when wet. That responsiveness to light is one of its most valued qualities in design.

Origin and Composition

Autumn Brown Sandstone is a sedimentary stone quarried in Rajasthan, India. Its characteristic warm brown to russet palette comes from iron oxide concentrations in the quartz-dominant matrix, with additional trace minerals contributing to the honey and amber tones. The stone’s grain is fine to medium, providing a surface that handles both natural split and refined honed finishes well.
