Banswara White Marble is one of the most versatile and commercially significant white marbles produced in India. Quarried from the Banswara district of southern Rajasthan, it is widely recognised for its pristine white base adorned with subtle grey or light purple veining — a quality that has positioned it as a cost-effective alternative to Italian Statuario and Carrara marble for architects, developers, and interior designers working at scale. Where Italian white marbles carry premium import costs, Banswara White delivers comparable visual elegance sourced directly from Indian quarries with full export traceability.
At Stone Harbor, we source Banswara White Marble directly from the Banswara district and export it in blocks, slabs, and tiles to clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. The stone is available in both standard and custom dimensions for projects ranging from individual bathroom renovations to large-scale commercial developments.
Origin & Composition
Banswara White Marble is a dolomitic metamorphic stone formed through the recrystallisation of dolomitic limestone under heat and pressure. The Banswara district of southern Rajasthan sits within one of India’s most productive marble belts, with quarries that have supplied premium stone to domestic and international markets for decades. The stone’s characteristic grey or light purple veining results from mineral inclusions distributed through the white dolomite-calcite matrix during metamorphism. Its fine texture, high luster potential, and suitability for tight dimensional tolerances have made it a favoured choice for fabricators and specification architects worldwide.
