Banswara White Marble is a dolomitic metamorphic stone formed through the recrystallisation of dolomitic limestone under heat and pressure. The Banswara district of southern Rajasthan sits within one of India’s most productive marble belts, with quarries that have supplied premium stone to domestic and international markets for decades. The stone’s characteristic grey or light purple veining results from mineral inclusions distributed through the white dolomite-calcite matrix during metamorphism.
